Purpose: To help disseminate awareness about the status of women in the global scenario and their recognition on the International Women's Day.

On 9th of March, Rit Foundation organized 'Nari Vimarsh', an event to commemorate the International Women's Day. This event was to discuss the numerous issues revolving quo status of the feminist movement and the status of women’s rights in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and other South Asian nations by those who have been closely associated with the movement. The conclave brought together some eminent people from various fields such as politics, governance, law, media, and performing arts etc those who have always stood against all odds and have been in the forefront of the movement to assert equal rights for women.
Dr. Chitra, founder of Rit Foundation announced two schemes in the event
- Free legal aid for the women who cannot afford it
- Vocational training for needy women
